Trick or Treat!!!

A happy Batman--the ears were weird.

Superman!!! Able to break hearts with one piercing look!

Wonder Woman and Batman!  Mom, help w/ the ears please.

I can leap buildings in a single bound!

My Three Super Heroes!

Carly is WonderWoman! I laugh out loud every time I see this photo!
Trick or Treat!

I'm going as a Westie this year.

Fill it to the top and I won't bite you.

Just the good stuff, ma'am.  I prefer salmon & lamb.

Touch my pumpkin and you're dog meat.

Happy Fall!

When do I get my pumpkin pie?

It's a little know fact that Westies were part of the first Thanksgiving.

The turkey is the guy on the left.  Westies Rule!

And then the Pilgram says, "Hey turkey, your invited to dinner."  Ha ha ha ha ha.

What's the deal with the scarecrow?

Ok, I've been posing and looking cute for hours.  I want to talk to my agent about a raise.

I'm so glad I don't have to wear a stupid costume this year.  Hey, what's in that bag your holding?

Are pumpkins edible?

Bring on the pilgrims!!!

In pictures...

A fellow Glen owner recently put together a book of "Flying Glens."  It all started from some photos posted on Facebook of Glen's "flying!" Several Glen owners submitted photos and a beautiful tribute to the breed was made in this book! We just received our copy last night and Winston and I checked it out. Winston has three photos in the book! All the profits will go to Glen Rescue.

Winston says "is that me!?"

If you want to check out the book, it is on blurb.com:  http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/2517135
Special thanks to Kelly Symes for the awesome book and for including Winston's photos.

We continue to train for obedience with our Tuesdays classes at Leading Edge and alternate evenings at Bayview.  Here is a quick video of Winston's heeling Tuesday night. It is all coming together.

Until next time...

Earthdog Oct 2011

Winston had a super busy day this October 1st! He went to an Earthdog class at Mrs Norma's this morning.

Winston and the baffle box

I see you!

Below is a video of Winston with the baffle box! His prey drive is in overdrive now!

He just barely fits in the tunnel!

Proof that Winston can fit in the ED tunnel and make the left turn!

"I smell a rat!"

Winston did well for his attempts today. He has proven that he really wants the rat. Now if we can just conquer his turns! Being so big makes those turns so tight!

We had enough time to come home for a short respite before he left to go tracking tonight! I was afraid Winston may be too tired after this morning but he showed me he was ready to go!

"I'm ready! Let's GO!"

Winston's tracking was fair--he has issues with the first turn but his other turns were right on. He enjoys tracking so much and the weather was perfect! What a busy day! One thing is certain--Winston will sleep well tonight!

One year post-op!!

This weekend marked the one year anniversary of Winston's surgery on his front legs for premature closure of the distal ulna.  One year ago, Mark and I traveled to Dr. Mary's for surgery that we hoped would prevent a lifetime of lameness for Winston.

Winston: post op on 9/17/2010

Winston today: 9/19/2011

I can run!

I can run fast!

I can tumble, too!

I am really handsome, too and look like my dear ole Dad, Riley!

I am wonder dog!

We are so proud of Winston! We can barely belief all he has accomplished in his 20 months of life.  One thing is certain, Winston's adventure continues. Again, we express our gratitude to Dr Mary, who made this all possible.

PS: Yes, we know we set the jump up wrong--we were in a hurry and we never noticed the jump until we saw the pics. OOPS!

Soggy Weekend

Tropical Storm Lee has been around all weekend, making for a soggy holiday weekend.  Winston has not been too happy with the limited outside activity.

Carly in her chair

Elliott on the couch with me

Winston relished his outside time in between rain bands.

Seems like Winston is trying to tell me something!

Mark took this awesome pic of Carly(left) and Elliott(right) this week.

Not only was this a stormy holiday weekend, it was Elliott's (in the middle)Birthday!

Elliott was ten years old this weekend! Here they pose with the cake I made for him.
Happy Birthday, Elliott! They can have their cake and eat it, too!

Still breezy and rainy today. Hopefully clear skies are on the way soon.
